Today is my 7th quarantine day and it is amazing how much time you actually have to clean the apartment, to read a good book, to do something good for yourself. I have noticed that it is incredibly difficult for me to come to rest and just do nothing. Because is it not in the rest where God wants to talk to us? It is like in a friendship one has to be quiet and listen so that the other can tell something. In 1 Kings 19 the Lord appeared to Elijah on Mount Horeb at the beginning it was very violent “And he said, Come out and stand on the mountain before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by; and a great and strong wind, which rent the mountains, and brake the rocks, went before the Lord: but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind came an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake came a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came the voice of a gentle whisper.”
1 Kings 19:11-12.
This scripture touched me very much because very often I do not give the Holy Spirit the opportunity and time to speak with me. I think this time I am in right now is such a precious and valuable time and I am very thankful for it.
In Ephesians it says and buy out the time because the days are evil and in verse 15 it also says that we should walk in diligence.
Time is one of the things that is not given back to us. Therefore, we should be thankful for every day that is given to us.
